Tonight: We will take a hike at Homer Lake. Please try to bring a back pack with items you would take on a day hike. Meet at Scout Hall at 7:00 PM. Please wear clothes accordingly to the weather forecast.
May 24th: Place Flags at Danville National Cemetery
Leave around 8:00 am and return around noon. We will then travel to Sportsman’s Club for a picnic lunch. Then we will work with Pack 40 Cub Scouts to clean around the pond and some work on the beach area.
Please bring appropriate work clothes. This is in lieu of utilizing the facilities for the next weeks Fishing Derby for the Cub Scouts Pack 40.
May 29th: Troop 40 Committee Meeting
May 31st: The Troop will be assisting Cub Scouts Pack 40 with the Fishing Derby at St. Joseph Sportsman Club.
June 6-7-8th: Canoe Trip at Turkey Run on the Sugar Creek
June 12th: Fish Fry – Fund Raiser for Troop 40 Scouts
June 22-June 28th: Summer Camp at Camp Drake

Thanks to Bill Campbell for assisting Mike Shaw at the Camporee this weekend.
The Scouts competed in various competitive events throughout the park.
While we did not win a gold, silver, or bronze medal for the obstacle course.
The Scouts made a mean confetti peach cobbler which was good
For a 3rd place win.
The award will be added to the treasure trove for Troop 40
